Samia Ilham Kazi, a resident of Orinda, California, hails originally from Dhaka, Bangladesh. She embarked on her journey in the world of art at the age of nine, immersing herself in the exploration of various mediums and techniques. Through courses, workshops and private lessons, she cultivated a deep appreciation for art and art history, laying the foundation for her creative endeavors.
After completing her Bachelor of Architecture degree at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Dhaka, Samia pursued further academic enrichment, earning her Master of Architecture degree at the University of Arizona, Tucson. Following her studies, she relocated to the vibrant San Francisco Bay Area, where she found her niche in the architecture and interior design industry.
In addition to her professional pursuits, Samia is a dedicated artist, predominantly working with acrylic and oil mediums. Nature serves as her primary muse, infusing her artwork with a sense of tranquility and vitality. For Samia, painting is not merely a form of expression but a source of solace and delight, akin to reconnecting with an old friend.
Samia's artistic talent has garnered recognition, with her paintings featured in galleries and esteemed private collections across the Bay Area and Virginia. In 2022, she became a member of the Lamorinda Arts Alliance, further solidifying her presence within the local arts community.
